Grateful Mountain Home ~ Quilted Landscape Tapestry

I am so excited to finally have this mixed media tapestry complete and ready to find a new home. May I offer…. Grateful Mountain Home. This piece measures 21 inches by. 21 inches. It has been hand dyed and embroidered, and then machine quilted by me. I did use a commercial solid for the binding but both front and back are hand dyed pieces from my studio. It has sturdy hanging loops attached to the back so you can put pins or nails thru them instead of the art. The embroidery on this piece is mainly textural. Adding emphasis or added dimension to what was already dyed into the cloth. The whole piece was very lightly quilted with a bit more in the sky allowing the mountains and moon to literally emerge from the piece with some dimension due to lack of quilting.
